New seats thread (ST relocation)
How are your new seats, those of you who have changed?

Better, worse or are you indifferent?

Well happy with mine actually. Still band 4, front row of upper tier.

Re. Joanne from ticket office. Turns out the seats they had sold me are meant to be for disabled supporters. Bit strange, considering mid-block, behind the goal in a standing area. Is this likely?

Strangely yes, bloke I know has one in the BML

We didn't move seats as we liked where we are, except for the steps, but it seems almost everyone around us with any passion has chose to move.

Anyway, she had to relocate me. Have gone from row 11, to row 23, which is where I had originally wanted all along. Not that I told her that. Made a right fuss, and so she'll put me at the front of the queue for relocation next year.

Re: New seats thread (ST relocation)
Very Happy with our new seats in 126. Standing areas seemed to have now been (kind of) replicated from Upton Park with Booby Moore lower, east (now west) stand lower near away fans and chav corner all standing.

We were in the West Stand lower Band Two last year and it was horrible seeing the blocks next to us standinging and gerneally enjoying the game near the away fans.

Moved to Trevor Brooking Lower, were a very large group (3 to 4 blocks?) stands and hopefully over the coming games we can create a bit of an atmosphere.

But as someone mention earlier on here, the block next the away fans 127 seems day tripper area with everyone sitting down? strange decision.

I received a voicemail from Joanne at West Ham today to "discuss the season tickets you have purchased". She's asked me to call her back tomorrow. Any ideas?

Sailed through security searches (without getting searched)...smaller queue in through turnstiles but my access card only allows me through entrace F, when my seat is almost opposite G

I'm sure i'll live ;-)

So punters were taken to the upper tier seats and shown them then?

Nope?

Anyway, I don't want to start pissing and moaning on such an upbeat thread.

As for security I got there earlier than normal too (I usually just make kick-off) and it took about a minute to be let through.

Gav, yes, he's a massive West Ham fan.

Re: New seats thread (ST relocation)
Before the usual suspects absolutely ruin a perfectly good thread idea I must say how nice it is that everyone on here used the first season to suss where they'd prefer to sit and most (maybe all) are happy with their new seats.

It shouldn't have happened in the first place that you had to go a whole season to make that decision. You should have been taken and shown your seats BEFORE you parted with your cash for the first season. The whole thing was clothed in too much secrecy especially as they wouldn't even give you a copy of the simulated view.

Well that and the fact the lower tier wasn't in place to show anyone

Speaking of the security checks, what time did you turn up and how long did it take to get through?

I turned up earlier than usual- probably half an hour to kick off and waited probably 2 minutes to get over the bridge. Definitely far far quicker than last season (Although I used to have to enter through turnstile H which was the busiest one, I think and now I get to use J.

Did anyone turn up about 10 minutes to kick off and if so how was the bridge security? Big queues or better than the scrums at the turnstiles last season?

However, despite the problems it's nice that people are getting better seats and enjoying the new stadium a bit more.

I more or less accidentally picked really good seats last season and stayed put. This season to my surprise a very well-known journalist (not a football journalist) has bought the seat next to me rather than sit (for free) in the press box. He said he's glad he did as he was so far away he ended up watching the game through the monitors in the box.

Getting searched on the bridge instead of in front of the turnstiles seemed to work really well too.

It seems like we're blundering around into something that works a bit better for most of us.

Moved along two seats so I could lean up against a wall. Very nice and cosy.
